Why cant I create an anonymous user name on this site?
For accountability, anyone joining DCPSTechs must be identifiable. It also reduces the liklihood of abuse and profanity.

Why Cant I download a file from the download page?
Before you can download a file from the download page you must send an email to info@dcpstechs.com requesting permission. In the email include your User Name (J.Barnes) and specify a password.

Are there any bandwidth restrictions on the downloads?
No there are no bandwith restrictions. Within Dades Schools IP range the speed averages about 480kbs during peak hours.(9am-5pm) After hours (after 5pm) the speeds have reached 1mbps (1000 kbps)
At home your bandwidth varies according to your internet service provider.

Can I add or submit events to the website calendar?
No individual submissions are permitted, due to lack of access. However if a member has a relevant technological event, he'd like to submit. After careful review and approval the event will get posted, in addition, the author or lead will receive full credit for the referral.

How come I am still logged into chat, after closing and re-opening the chat window?
Prior to closing the chat window, look over to your left and hit the leave button. This will ensure, you are logged out completely. In the event you fail to hit leave, log back into the same room, before attempting to join another. After you have logged back into the previous room, you may then log into another room.

How do I embed video into the Forums?
Find your relevant (tech related) video on the web. Copy and paste the video into the form topic and your done! Make sure that the URL you are using states the video is playing as opposed to now playing.

How long will embeded video post remain active in the Forum?
Until a maximum of 20 embeded video clips have been reached. Once 20 has been reached they will be recycled. Add a new clip would result int he oldest post being deleted. This is done to preserve load times.

Will this site eventually have Pod-Casting?
Yes, Pod-Casting will be added in the near future. However you can submit personal tutorials and videos on the forum.

Will there be a shopping cart added?
A shopping cart is in the works. On this shopping cart techs will be able to sell personal computer equipment. In addition to purchasing supplies from the DCPSTech Store.
